Dr. Xie Ran graduated from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Shanghai Jiaotong University in 2010; graduated from the Department of Chemical Biology, School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering, Peking University in 2015, under the tutelage of Professor Chen Xing; subsequently engaged in post-doctoral research at Harvard University and his co-supervisor Professor Daniel Kahne, an academician of the US and Chinese Academy of Sciences; joined the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Nanjing University at the end of 2019, and joined the PI of the Institute of Chemistry and Biomedicine Innovation of Nanjing University at the same time, and began independent scientific research. His research directions mainly include the development and application of new non-natural sugar metabolism labeled probes, as well as the in vitro remodeling and functional analysis of gram-negative bacteria lipopolysaccharide transporter. As the first author, he has published 5 papers in well-known journals such as Science, Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA, J. Am. Chem. Soc.
