Dr. Zhao Jin graduated from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Nanjing University in 1998; received his Ph.D. from Yale University in the United States in 2005, and then went to the University of California at Berkeley and the University of Chicago for post-doctoral research; in 2007, he worked as a senior researcher at Rohm and Haas Corporation in the United States; In 2008, he returned to Nanjing University as a professor; in 2016, he was selected into the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund, the second batch of leading talents in the National "Ten Thousand Talents Program"; in 2020, he was supported by the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund. His research fields include the structure of metalloproteins and metalloenzymes, biocompatible metal-catalyzed reactions, and fluorescent small molecule probes. Currently, he has published more than 70 papers in famous journals including Science, Nature, J. Am. Chem. Soc. He has won the New Century Excellent Talent Support Program of the Ministry of Education, the Fok Yingdong Foundation Project Award, and the Distinguished Lectureship Award of the Chemical Society of Japan (The Distinguished Lectureship Award).
